Submit a photo for the “Slice of Life” photo contest
Together with the County, the Breck150 committee is asking the public to submit photographs to be included in the new Summit County Courthouse time capsule. Specifically, the committee is seeking images which represent Summit County life. These “Slice of Life” photographs should convey to our residents in 2109 what the heart and soul of Summit County living is today.

For more information or to submit a photograph, contact Larissa Enns at larissa@breckheritage.com. All photographs should be submitted electronically and should include the following: where the image was taken, when it was taken, contact email and phone number, and a brief description (100 words max). The deadline for submissions is: June 15, 2009. Please do not submit more than two photographs per person. Selected images for the new time capsule will be announced in July.

Donate an Artifact
If you have old Breckenridge relics that you’ve picked up along the way that really belong in a museum for all to see, the Breckenridge Heritage Alliance is overseeing an amnesty program - bring in those reminders of the past and they’ll ensure the property is preserved. Volunteer Your Time
The events taking place this summer to celebrate 150 years will all need volunteers. Gather your friends and family and volunteer during the Grand Celebration, the Mining and Railroad Weekend or for interpretive programs on trails or at museums.
